What I Believe

In this thin book, Dr Tariq Ramadhan attempts to explain his stand in many issues relate to Muslim and Non Muslim, east and west in the simplest way. According to him, this is the book specifically for busy people who want to understand his thought, and they should refer to his respective books to understand in detail the discussion on varies topics.

In general, he's trying to help Muslims all over the world to revolutionise their way of thinking so that they can act and play a better and bigger role in the this modern, challenging decade.

However, I can see that he is focusing more to Western Muslims to escape the mental, social, cultural, and religious ghettos they have created for themselves and become full partners in the democratic societies in which they live. He's also trying to comprehend the non Muslims about the real Islamic principles and values, fighting the misunderstanding as well as misconception about Islam in the west.

Some Muslims oppose his opinion and stand, but I personally think that he does not bring any new teaching or principle which is not congruent with Islam. He just helping people to think from another angel and reform the old approach while the fundamental is still the same.

As his grandfather, he is the reformist.

WaAllahu a'lam
